Miscellanies 1980-2015

Michael David

Friday, April 3, 2015 to Sunday, May 10, 2015

Opening Reception: Friday April 3, 5:30-8:00pm.

The artist, Michael David, has selected a few dozen of his personally favorite works from his thirty-five year career to showcase in this exhibition. Drawings, paintings and monoprints of various subjects and themes represent much of his career to date. They start with early landscapes and figure compositions then to years of monochromatic night scenes, circus performers, swimmers, still-lifes and lots of flora and fauna. Much is left out, but this small mini-retrospective provides a good sampling of the artist’s interests and perceptions.

Michael David is Professor and Chair of the Fine Arts Department at the Lesley University College of Art and Design. He has an extensive national exhibition record and is in numerous public, corporate and private collections. Born in Boston, David has primarily lived and worked in the South End.
