Jennifer rosa is a contemporary artists’ collective active in Vicenza (Italy) since 2005. The body, the human figure, the vitality of presence, the time of existence and of occurring are the main themes of a research that articulates itself through performances, videos, video installations, and photography. Far from narration, from story-telling, and from symbolism, they choose an eccentric aesthetic space, on the edge of ordinary, balancing reality and artifice, body and image, presence and appearance, physical transport and lucid exercise. It’s a space of opposite tensions, in which the subjective experience is observed from an objective point of view, thanks to the construction of particular settings.

Starting from a group of authors and performers sharing a contemporary dance background: Chiara Bortoli, Francesca Raineri, Francesca Contrino, Vasco Manea, the research has been gradually expanding towards performing and visual arts through the collaboration of the video-artist Fiorenzo Zancan and the photographer Andrea Rosset.

This will be the US Premiere for Jennifer rosa: Photography, Video installation and Videos presented for the first time anywhere in the US. Their works have been presented in Italy, France and Germany.
