Common Ground

Anthony Miraglia and Marc St. Pierre

Friday, March 7, 2014 to Sunday, April 20, 2014

March 7 – April 20, 2014.

Opening Reception: March 7, 5:30-8:00pm.  Artists Talk: April 4, 7:00pm.

Marc St. Pierre and Anthony Miraglia are two artists who share a common pursuit.   Both have been working abstractly for some time and both have a keen interest in process and surface.  They also share common interests in formal issues as well as the exploration of the physicality of the surface. They achieve this through an approach that is often intuitive and experimental, and defined by their desire to create palatable rich textures and depth through layering, a process reminiscent of an archaeological dig.  The work in this exhibition reinforces their travels and  interest in abstraction, and process as a vehicle to explore their personal content.
